The Right-of-Way Acquisition Section facilitates the acquisition of land for roadway projects, reviews right-of-way maps and legal descriptions, participates in settlement negotiations, and provides expert witness testimony for orders of taking, mediations and property value trials.

The Right-of-Way Section works closely with other County divisions, which include Real Estate Management, Orange County Attorney's Office and Risk Management to ensure all land acquisitions are conducted properly and in a cost effective manner.
