Insurance & Contracts

Risk Management is also responsible for the purchase of various insurance policies to protect County assets (people and property). Additionally, the division supplies the appropriate contractual language to contracts utilized by other County departments.

When applicable, we coordinate, evaluate and purchase:

  • Property insurance for all County buildings, furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Workers' compensation
  • Boiler and machinery insurance
  • General liability coverage
  • Environmental liability and on-site cleanup provided by contractor(s)
  • Commercial crime covering employee dishonesty claims and theft of money
  • Elected officials' bond
  • Tenant user liability insurance program
  • Certificates of insurance
