Originally appointed by the Chief Judge in 1993 and supported by Constitutional Officers, members of the Orange County Justice Community have been addressing the issues associated with sharing data within the Criminal Justice system. The three Justice Information Teams (JIT), Executive, Management, and Technical are comprised of dedicated individuals from Court Administration, Clerk of Court, State Attorney, Public Defender, Orange County Sheriff, Orlando Police Department, State Corrections, Orange County Information Systems and Services, and Orange County Corrections Department.

1. The ability to identify a defendant in a common manner throughout the entire CJIS process.
2. The ability to freely access non-confidential groups of data, as documented at the January 1998 JIT Retreat, from other CJIS agencies.
3. Ability to minimize the entering and use of redundant data.
4. Ability for the end user to create custom reports from CJIS data.
5. Ability for the end user to have the ability to access the data in text or graphical form. Browser type technology preferred as user interface.
