It was made clear to County officials that there was a great need to have such an office, to oversee the cable TV companies in Orange County and to provide a County cable TV subscriber an office for problems they may have with a cable company that they can not seem to get resolved to turn to.

A few points to remember:

• A cable company franchised to operate in Orange County has the right to work in any platted utility easements and right-of-ways.
• Orange County by Federal law, can not regulate cable rates for service or cable programming.
