The fiscal staff has the responsibility of ensuring that all monies received by the inmate, in relation to employment, are deposited with the Work Release Center. Disbursement is based on court-mandated costs, including fines, victim restitution, and child support. Residents are also able to support their families financially while at the center.
The residents are charged a weekly subsistence to offset operating costs to the center. During fiscal year 2000-2001, the Center collected $466,972.77 in subsistence, $205,849.43 in court costs and $9,213 in restitution to victims. The total net earnings of the Work Release Inmates were $2,110,766.46 for the fiscal year 2000-2001. |
