Orange County's ReNEW Home Heating Oil Tank Removal/Abandonment (HHOT) Program helps County homeowners remove old heating oil tanks on their property. Removal of the tanks will benefit the homeowner and Orange County's natural resources by stopping a potential source of groundwater contamination.  Orange County's Home Heating Oil Tank Removal and Abandonment (HHOT) Program ended on September 30, 2007.  Contact Mark Naughton reference to outstanding applications for this program at mark.naughton@ocfl.net or (407) 836 - 1400.
Household Hazardous Wastes (HHW)
horizontalbar
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) includes paints, turpentine, paint strippers, fluorescent lamps, mercury thermometers, cleaners,  pesticides, and herbicides.  These products  contain potentially hazardous ingredients.  Improperly disposal of these items and other types of hazardous waste pollute the environment and pose a threat to human health.  Do not pour them down the drain, on the ground, into storm sewers, or put them out with the trash.  Special care is required for disposing of HHW and Electronic Waste.
