Commissioner Fernandez to lead Community Crime Forum

Orlando, Fla. – August 26, 2008 – Orange County Commissioner Mildred Fernandez, District 3 will be joined by local law enforcement on Wednesday, August 27th at 7:00 p.m. at the Little River Elementary School located at 100 Caswell Drive.   The purpose of the meeting is to discuss concerns over neighborhood crime and safety.  The meeting is open to all citizens and will be an interactive discussion focused on potential solutions.

Other scheduled speakers are Director Mike McCoy, Orange County Public Safety, Captain Tina Gordon, Sector Commander, Orange County Sheriff's Office, as well as representatives from the Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and Crime Prevention.  Code Enforcement, Parks & Recreation and Neighborhood Services will also be participating in the panel discussion.
